Second Local Ecocentre of the Year

On Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Pointe-Claire’s Public Works yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue) will host the second local Ecocentre of Summer 2024. This is an opportunity for citizens to dispose of various items responsibly, thereby contributing to sustainable waste management and the preservation of our environment.

What can you bring to the Ecocentre?

Ecocentres are places where you can drop off a variety of materials for reuse, recycling or recovery. Here are some of the items you can bring:

  • Construction waste: Wood planks, demolition debris, etc.
  • Electronic products: Computers, televisions, household appliances.
  • Tires
  • Branches over 10 cm in diameter: These are not collected at the curb.
  • Items that can’t be collected during regular pick-ups: Bulky items

A document shredding service will also be available, enabling you to dispose of your sensitive papers in complete safety.

Wood chips and compost

On this day, compost will be available free of charge. There will be no wood chips, however, as these are used for landscaping the City’s parks, green spaces and public areas. To ensure that everyone can benefit from the compost, we ask you to limit your quantity to 100 L per person. Don’t forget to bring your shovel and containers!

Due to the high volume of traffic expected, access to the Ecocentre may be limited before closing time. We therefore encourage you to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

For more information on the materials accepted, please visit the Ecocentre page of our website.
